2017 Motorcycle Adventure to Alaska (Day seven)

Having gone to bed so late I was able to sleep in a bit. Sleeping in a real bed was a pleasant change from my high density foam camper mattress and sleeping bag.
Here's a photo I took from the guest room showing a mountain range they call The Three Sisters.

After breakfast Bob had to leave for an hour or so and I took this opportunity to give my bike a good washing. As you can imagine the front end of the bike looked like an insect graveyard after six days of being bombarded by bugs. Black Beauty is all squeaky clean again.

Yesterday Bob had kindly done a load of laundry for me which was pretty generous. He even folded them for me.
Bob suggested I stick around for another day which didn't require much arm twisting for me as he is a wonderful host.
He had a plan for us to do a 5K walk along the town trails that skirt the river so off we went.
We passed this interesting looking former railroad bridge at the beginning of our trek.

This seemed like a good idea but shortly after this video was filmed the mosquitoes attacked and it was damn hot (30C) so I think we both enjoyed the experience but were happy when we were done.
Bob has a sizeable group of friends who enjoy meeting at a local pub for happy hour on Fridays. We took the bus into town and met up with his gang, had some beers and some laughs and then a few people decided to get some pizza over at Patrino's. It was great fun and it just makes it harder to leave tomorrow morning.

After dinner I took this shot as we stood on the curb waiting for our taxi.
