2016 Motorcycle Adventure (DAY Twenty Two)

It's always nice to wake up having had a good night's sleep. Barbara has a wonderful inflatable mattress for guests and her dog, Moss, loved the fact that the mattress was on the floor so he had easy access to the bed. He's a real snuggler.
After a nice refreshing shower we three went for a wonderful walk over to a nearby dog park and walking trail. I enjoyed having a chance to talk while we walked and share some elements of our lives. We had left the house with just a cup of coffee so we went to a local eatery and had breakfast. Barbara had a luncheon date at 12:30 so we went back to the house.
Barbara had ordered a new TV so I offered to set it up for her. Unfortunately after unpacking it and connecting all the cables we found that the screen was broken. When we looked at the box it arrived in we saw that it had a hole punched in the side of it so it was clearly shipping damage. We boxed it up again reinstalled the old TV and now she has to deal with UPS and a damage claim.
I planned to leave before she got back so we said our good byes and off she went. I had to get a photo before leaving.

This gave me a chance to work on my blog and get ready to head up to Portland, Oregon to spend a couple of days with my son Cavan and his wife Angie.
It was a relatively short ride, 2 1/2 hours on the I-5 interstate. I didn't run into any traffic to speak of and arrived just after 5:00 pm. It turns out that they just park in the street and I couldn't find a large enough space so I disconnected the camper and parked it and the bike separately.
Cavan and Angie arrived back about 6:00 and it was so great to see them again. Angie plans to graduate by Christmas and hopes to be employed by the Port State University which will provide a major financial influx. Cavan works for Prestige Landscaping and has become an invaluable asset to the young owner.
Angie prepared a delicious pasta meal complete with salad and garlic bread. Because I want to spend time with Cavan I decided to go to work with him and be one of the labourers tomorrow. Because we have to be out the door by 6:45 am we had an early evening and lights out by 10:00.
