2016 Motorcycle Adventure (DAY Twenty Six)

I woke up at 6:30 am to the sound of a train passing by with it's horn blaring. I have learned that KOA campgrounds are usually located on cheap land beside an interstate hwy. and many times a railway.
Since I am anxious to get home my morning ritual has changed. I avoid cooking anything that requires cleaning before I leave so it's grapefruit, sometimes Cheerios and Greek yogurt with berries but after being out on the road for awhile I stop for a coffee and to catch up on email. I got all packed up and on the road by 8:00 this morning.
Spokane, WA is very close to the Idaho panhandle border so before I knew it I was in Idaho and lovely hills and forests. Here's a nice shot of Lake Coeur D'Alene.

This little river followed the interstate for miles.

By noon I needed to stop and have some lunch. Being a Friday afternoon there is much more traffic out on the highways. The speed limit in Idaho is 75 mph and 80 mph in Montana so I got to Butte, Montana very quickly. I have crossed into another time zone (mountain time) which means I'm 2 hours ahead of Bracebridge (eastern time).  Here are a few pics from Montana.

It was a good day, only about 300 miles but I still need to plan on an early night to get ready for tomorrow. I plan on riding as far as Miles City, Montana which is about 370 miles and it's going to be another hot day.
When I pulled into Butte, I got my campsite all setup and decided to go for a refreshing dip in their pool. Oddly enough I was the only swimmer. The clouds started rolling in and it's cooler now with a light breeze. I fired up my single burner Coleman and have some tasty soup on for dinner.
I decided to wrap up my blog a little early so I could eat, relax, read and get to bed early.
