2016 Motorcycle Adventure (DAY Thirty)

I'm finding that the closer I get to home the more anxious I am to be there. I really wish someone would perfect teleporting.
The camper and bike were all covered in the morning dew. The low or no humidity that I have enjoyed in the midwest is over now that I am sitting next to the largest inland body of water in the world, the Great Lakes.
I was able to pack up and be on the road by 9:00 because I had a long, relativey slow ride to Sault Ste. Marie and wanted to get going.
Now if you're not into football this won't mean much to you but people from Wisconsin are referred to as "Cheeseheads" because their state is known for producing great cheese.

The entire day I was riding secondary roads to get up to the "Soo" (Sault Ste. Marie). It is the heartland of America with nothing but farmland and nothing but corn as far as the eye can see. I probably should have taken a picture of some corn but I know ya'll have seen corn before.

Now back to football. The local NFL team is the Green Bay Packers. Their former quarterback, Brett Favre, was a favourite of mine who was just inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame this week. Most all the fans and certainly all the TV announcers call him Brett Favour, which has always bugged me because it's wrong. I decided to ask a real "cheesehead" what's up with this. She said that everyone pronounces his name wrong and even Brett pronounces his name the way it's meant to be. She thinks Americans are lazy talkers.
Here is a shot of Lake Michigan along it's northern shore. The lake is so vast that it looks like the ocean because you could never see the other shoreline.

Here I am at the American side of the Canadian border crossing. As you can see there are no long lines because nobody is killing themselves to get into Canada. Just wait until Trump is elected and you will see some long lines.

I passed over another time line so I'm back in Eastern Time Zone and it's 7:00 pm. I got my site all setup, poured myself a vodka tonic and just thought to myself, it's great to be home at last
