ROUTE 66 (DAY 20)

The day was forecasted to be a hot one so after Angie got back from her morning class we decided to "go to the river". Poor Cavan was still doing the brain rest thing so he had to sit this one out. We swung by the grocery store to pick up some wine and we were off. The Ox Bow Park on the Sandy River was only 20 minutes away. We parked the car and trekked in to a nice spot on the river with few people. The sun was so hot that it was painful just walking bare foot on the sand. The water source for this river comes from melting mountain snow so it was "refreshing". It was one of those nice lazy afternoons where everything seemed to be in slow motion. It was great to just forget about the world and enjoy a relaxing time sitting in the cool waters by the shore.

It was a sizzling Tuesday afternoon so there were very few people on the river .

It was starting to get late. The sun was sinking. It was time to head back up to the car and think about getting some dinner plans organized. The girls were getting quite baked but we all had slathered on the sun screen so nobody was badly burned.

On the way home it was decided that the guys would have pizza and the girls would go out for sushi. Cavan and I watched "Gravity" that space movie with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. It was   very bad. Great special effects but really quite boring.
When the movie was over we all headed for bed. I finished my blog up date and went to sleep.
