ROUTE 66 (DAY 12)

Monday apparently was not a holiday for Duncan so he was up and leaving the trailer by 7:00 am. He was going to try to come home around noon and have some lunch with me but work was too busy to leave. I got myself some breakfast and got caught up my blog, watched a movie on Netflix, showered and shaved. This was a very different sort of morning than I had been used to over the past 10 days.
duncan has a very interesting cat names Rocket who he had shaved for the summer heat. It's called a "lion cut" and actually looks pretty good.

Duncan managed to get most of the afternoon off and appeared around 2:30 pm. I had run out of clean clothes and needed a haircut so Duncan drove me to the laundromat and local hair stylist. His four wheeled transportation is a used cop car he picked up at an auto auction. He loves to see people's reactions when he takes it out. He treated me to some genuine LA "street food" consisting of slices of coconut, papaya, fresh squeezed lime juice and then sprinkled with a spicy salt mixture. Yummmmm!
I had noticed that his toilet had a water leak in the line going to the toilet tank so I suggested we fix it as it didn't look too tough and it had bugged him for months. An hour later and a trip to Lowe's we had fixed the problem.
Being a former chef, Duncan prepared a delicious dinner of steak, sweet potato fries, corn on the cob and a glass of nice wine.
He has a rather eclectic taste in many areas and he was very proud of his tricked out Kawasaki. This is his daily driver when he's not riding his big 250cc. scooter.

After dinner we watched a new Planet of the Apes movie on Netflix and since Tuesday morning was another work day we turned in early.
